Job summary

Zoos Victoria is hiring an Admissions Supervisor for Melbourne Zoo on a part-time basis (0.7 FTE, ~26.6 hours/week). The role leads the admissions and services team to deliver exceptional visitor experiences at all entry points, with a focus on sales growth through admissions, memberships, encounters and events tickets.

You will oversee daily on-site operations such as queuing, exhibit supervision, visitor safety and maintenance of visitor facilities.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing a department or unit.
• Exposure to budgeting and HR management.
• Experience leading a service-driven team.
• Ability to build a cohesive team and drive change.
• Strong communication with diverse stakeholders and alignment with Zoos Victoria goals.
• Professional experience and qualifications relevant to admissions/visitor services operations.
• Working with Children Check credential
• National Police Check

Responsibilities

• Lead the admissions and services team to deliver exceptional visitor experiences at all entry points.
• Foster knowledge sharing, collaboration and consistent service standards.
• Assist in day-to-day on-site customer service operations with the Visitor Services Manager and Admissions Coordinator.
• Ensure best-practice customer service principles underpin all service delivery.
• Deliver visitor services initiatives to meet financial targets and revenue through admissions and experiences.
• Drive sales initiatives to increase memberships and experiences.
• Manage wage costs while maintaining high service standards.
