Job summary

Aldebaran Contracting is seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant to join our Darwin-based finance team. This role is ideal for someone currently studying Accounting or Bookkeeping and looking to gain practical experience in a supportive environment.

You will help with day-to-day accounting tasks, loaning your attention to detail, and building your skills withMYOB or Xero as needed. Training and study flexibility are available.

Qualifications

• Currently studying, or recently completed, a qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping or related field.
• Interest in accounting and willingness to learn in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and allocate expenses accurately.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable.
• Complete bank and supplier statement reconciliations.
• Support general journal entries and financial transactions.
• Assist with monthly end process and maintain records.
