Job summary

Together Business Australia, a Darwin-based CA practice on Larrakia Country, is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our small onshore team, three days a week. The role is permanent part-time with flexible hours.

You will carry BAS, financial statements and review-ready workpapers across Aboriginal corporations, Pty Ltds, trusts, and NFPs, working end-to-end with the Managing Director as reviewer. This is a hands-on role where you own the flow and engage in client conversations around month-end,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

We’re hiring a Senior Accountant to join our small onshore team, three days a week, permanent part-time. Hours can be structured around school pick-up and drop-off. We mean it.

What you’ll actually do

You’ll carry a portfolio of BAS, financial statements and review-ready workpaper preparation across a mixed client base: Aboriginal corporations, Pty Ltds, trusts, incorporated associations and NFPs. You’ll work end-to-end on your files, from reconciliation review through to draft financials, with the Managing Director as your reviewer. You’ll also step into client conversations where it makes sense, particularly around month-end, BAS lodgement and year-end.

This is not a role where the technical work is queued up for you. You’ll own the flow.
