AccountAbility in Sydney offers an entry-level Accounts Assistant role with comprehensive training to launch your accounting career. You will work under a Finance Manager and a dedicated mentor, gaining hands-on experience across AP, AR, payroll, and month-end processes.

This position suits accounting grads or junior accountants who want to develop in a supportive team, with flexible work from home one day per week and clear pathways to advancement in Australian and NZ operations.

Qualifications

• Accounting knowledge through studies or practical experience
• Understanding of debits, credits and reconciliations
• Qualifications in Accounting/Finance/Business Admin highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently once trained
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Experience in AP/AR/Payroll or Administration advantageous
• Exposure to ERP/MYOB/Xero/SAP or similar tools

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and support Accounts Payable
• Generate customer invoices, allocate payments and assist AR
• Complete reconciliations and resolve account discrepancies
• Support payroll administration and payroll records
• Assist with reporting and finance administration activities
• Manage incoming calls, emails and general office administration
• Support onboarding, employee records and HR administration
• Provide general business support across finance, administration and operations
