Job summary

Ku-ring-gai Council in Sydney's north is seeking a Parking Compliance Officer to monitor local parking rules, issue infringement notices and educate the public on parking obligations. You will maintain records, respond to community questions and complaints, and work with a supportive team to uphold safety and accessibility across the area.

The permanent full-time role includes a 38-hour week, rostered day off, and Saturday overtime on rotation.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate or equivalent
• NSW Drivers Licence Class C or equivalent
• Current SafeWork NSW White card (or eligible to independently obtain)
• Commitment to excellent customer service
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor parking compliance in designated areas, ensuring local laws and regulations are followed
• Issue infringement notices when appropriate, following clear guidelines and maintaining professionalism
• Engage with the community, answer questions, provide assistance, and educate the public on parking rules
• Maintain appropriate records and document evidence
• Respond to community complaints by inspecting reported activities and recording outcomes

• Salary $72,964.74 - $84,638.44 p/a + super
