Job summary

Ku-ring-gai Council in Sydney is seeking a full-time Parking Compliance Officer to monitor parking rules across designated areas and issue infringement notices where appropriate.

You will engage with the community, answer questions, and maintain records and evidence while contributing to fair, safe and compliant local streets. The role requires a NSW Licence and a White Card, with a rotating roster and weekend overtime on a rotation basis.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate or equivalent.
• NSW Drivers Licence Class C or equivalent.
• Current SafeWork NSW White card (or eligible to independently obtain).
• Commitment to excellent customer service.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring parking compliance in designated areas, ensuring local laws and regulations are followed.
• Issuing infringement notices when appropriate, following clear guidelines and maintaining professionalism.
• Engaging with the community, answering questions, providing assistance, and helping to educate the public on parking rules.
• Maintaining appropriate records and documenting evidence.
• Responding to community complaints by inspecting reported activities and accurately recording outcomes.

Job description

• Salary $72,964.74 - $84,638.44 p/a + super
• Permanent full-time role, 38 hours per week on a rotating basis with a rostered day off per fortnight.
• Saturday Overtime available on rotational basis
