Job summary

Ora Banda Mining is seeking a Paramedic to deliver primary healthcare, emergency medical response and occupational health services across surface, underground, processing and remote mining areas. You will support safe operations with rapid incident response, medical facility readiness and health surveillance.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor of Paramedicine, current AHPRA registration and ALS2/ITLS qualifications, with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to health and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree required or equivalent in Paramedicine.
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Paramedic.
  • ALS2 or ITLS qualifications desirable.
  • Injury management and return-to-work coordination qualifications
  • Drug and alcohol testing certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary healthcare, emergency medical response and occupational health services across mining areas.
  • Support safe operations through rapid incident response and medical facility readiness.
  • Assist with fitness-for-work, health surveillance and preventative programs.
  • Coordinate first aid training and emergency response support.
  • Support workers’ compensation, injury management and return-to-work processes.
  • Collaborate with medical team, HST, operational leaders and external providers.
  • Contribute to compliance and continuous improvement of health and safety systems.

The role

Applications are sought for the position of Paramedic.

  • Provide primary healthcare, emergency medical response and occupational health services across surface, underground, processing and remote mining areas
  • Support safe operations through rapid incident response, emergency preparedness and medical facility readiness
  • Assist with fitness-for-work, drug and alcohol testing, health surveillance and preventative health programs
  • Coordinate first aid training, health promotion activities and emergency response support
  • Support workers’ compensation, injury management and return-to-work processes
  • Work closely with the medical team, HST team, operational leaders, contractors and external medical providers
  • Contribute to compliance, accurate reporting and continuous improvement of site health and safety systems
About you

To be considered for the role, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor of Paramedicine or equivalent degree.
  • Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Paramedic
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS2) or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS)
  • Injury Management and Return to Work Coordinators qualification
  • Drug and Alcohol Testing certification
  • Certificate IV in Assessment and Training (TAE40122) (Desirable)
  • Energetic and proactive approach to health and safety activities
  • Strong analytical capabilities
