SMART is expanding its Tullamarine panel repair team and is seeking a trade-qualified Panel Beater for a full-time role in our modern, well-equipped workshop. This opportunity is with SMART, part of AMA Group, backed by a national network and cutting-edge repair technology.

In this role you will complete scheduled repairs, ensure parts availability, assist with vehicle assembly, and uphold safety and quality standards. We offer above‑award pay, guaranteed overtime, and clear career pathways.

• Must hold a Panel Beater trade qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repairs.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled repair jobs following SMART processes and repair principles.
• Check parts are ordered and notify Estimator if parts are missing or incorrect.
• Assist with vehicle assembly when needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to Workplace Health & Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
• Respect customer vehicles and company equipment.
• Contribute to a positive, respectful culture in the workshop.

We're hiring!

We are seeking a Trade Qualified Panel Beater to complete our Tullamarine site.

Permanent position with guaranteed overtime (45 hours per week) and a large, modern facility to do your best work!

What You'll Do:

• Completing scheduled repair jobs following the SMART processes and repair principles
• Checking all required parts are ordered and notifying the Estimator if parts are missing or incorrect
• Assisting with vehicle assembly when needed
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times (Clean Workspace Policy)
• Adhering strictly to Workplace Health & Safety and Quality Assurance policies and procedures
• Respecting customer vehicles and company equipment
• Contributing to a positive, respectful culture within the workshop

• Trade qualification as a Panel Beater
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repairs
• A customer‑first mindset, with a commitment to quality work every time
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise repair tasks efficiently
• A calm, reliable approach under pressure and during busy periods
