Job summary

SMART is hiring a Trade Qualified Panel Beater to join our Tullamarine site. This permanent, full-time role offers guaranteed overtime (45 hours per week) and a large, modern facility to perform high-quality repairs.

You will complete scheduled repairs, ensure parts are ordered, assist with vehicle assembly, and uphold WH&S and QA standards. This role provides real career growth within AMA Group and access to national training programs (I-CAR Gold), with team lunches and a $2,000 referral bonus.

• Trade qualification as a Panel Beater.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in repairs.
• A customer‑first mindset, with a commitment to quality work every time.
• Ability to plan, organise and prioritise repair tasks efficiently.
• A calm, reliable approach under pressure and during busy periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Interest in cars and pride in your craft.

Responsibilities

• Completing scheduled repair jobs following the SMART processes and repair principles.
• Checking all required parts are ordered and notifying the Estimator if parts are missing or incorrect.
• Assisting with vehicle assembly when needed.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times (Clean Workspace Policy).
• Adhering strictly to Workplace Health & Safety and Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
• Respecting customer vehicles and company equipment.
• Contributing to a positive, respectful culture within the workshop.
