Aussie Painters Network is seeking Painting Apprentices to join growing teams across Queensland. You will work alongside qualified painters, gaining hands-on experience, mentoring, and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship.

Responsibilities include measuring, reading plans, surface preparation, and applying paints and textures on residential and commercial projects. A White Card and team-focused attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Interest in undertaking a Painting Apprenticeship.
• White Card or ability to obtain one quickly.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
• Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.

Working alongside qualified and skilled painters, you will gain valuable hands‑on experience, mentoring, and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Painting Apprentice, your duties will include:

• Carrying out measurements and basic calculations
• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Erecting and maintaining trestle and plank systems
• Handling painting and decorating materials
• Using painting and decorating tools and equipment
• Removing and replacing doors, windows, and components
• Preparing surfaces for painting
• Applying paint using brushes and rollers
• Applying textured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will have:

• A genuine interest in undertaking a Painting Apprenticeship
• A White Card, or the ability to obtain one as soon as possible
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour
• A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
• A positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• The ability to follow instructions and take direction
• Trustworthiness and motivation

Preferred (but not essential)

• A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Previous painting or construction‑related work experience
