Job summary

Zohorecruit is recruiting Painting Apprentices on behalf of our members to join growing teams. You will work with qualified painters, gaining hands-on experience, mentoring, and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship.

As an apprentice, you will learn to read plans, prepare surfaces, apply paint, and develop practical trade skills through on-the-job training on residential and commercial projects.

• A genuine interest in undertaking a Painting Apprenticeship.
• A White Card, or the ability to obtain one as soon as possible.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour.
• Will ingness to learn and work as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, reliability and strong work ethic.
• The ability to follow instructions and take direction.
• Trustworthiness and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out measurements and basic calculations.
• Reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Erecting and maintaining trestle and plank systems.
• Handling painting and decorating materials.
• Using painting and decorating tools and equipment.
• Removing and replacing doors, windows, and components.
• Preparing surfaces for painting.
• Applying paint using brushes and rollers.
• Applying textured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray.
