Job summary

Programmed Property Services is seeking an experienced Painter to join our team in Toowoomba and surrounding areas. You will perform interior and exterior painting on commercial and maintenance projects, focusing on quality workmanship and safety.

You will hold White Card and Blue Card, have a valid Australian driver's licence, and be reliable and detail-oriented. We offer ongoing work with an established company and supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a professional painter.
• Current White Card and Blue Card.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.
• Strong eye for detail; reliable and punctual.
• Able to work independently or in a team; good communication.
• Strong WHS understanding.

Responsibilities

• Interior and exterior painting.
• Surface preparation, including sanding, patching and filling.
• Brush, roller and spray applications.
• Paint walls, ceilings, doors and external surfaces.
• Minor maintenance and safety compliance.
• Set up and maintain safe work areas.
• Work with clients and staff on site.
• Meet project timeframes with high workmanship.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Follow site safety procedures.

About the Role

Your duties will include:

• Interior and exterior painting
• Surface preparation, including sanding, scraping, patching and filling
• Brush, roller and spray applications where required
• Painting walls, ceilings, doors, frames and external surfaces
• Minor maintenance and repair work associated with painting
• Setting up and maintaining safe work areas
• Working around clients, students, staff and members of the public
• Completing work to a high standard and within project timeframes
• Following all site safety procedures and Programmed requirements
• Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas

About You

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Have previous professional painting experience
• Hold a current White Card
• Hold a current Blue Card
• Hold a current Australian driver's licence
• Have a strong eye for detail and take pride in your work
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Have good communication skills
• Have a strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements

Ideally, you will also hold current EWP tickets, including relevant scissor lift and boom lift qualifications.

If you do not currently hold EWP tickets but are willing and able to obtain them, we still encourage you to apply.

A Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, commercial painting experience, spray painting experience and Working at Heights training will also be highly regarded.
