Job summary

Programmed GO is seeking a skilled Trade Qualified Painter for a local project in the Toowoomba region, commencing 15 June. You will join a team delivering high-quality workmanship, ensuring safety and efficiency in a collaborative environment.

Essential qualifications include a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, current EWP ticket, Blue Card, WWCC and White Card, with experience in commercial or residential painting. A valid driver’s licence is required.

Qualifications

• Current EWP Ticket.
• Blue Card and WWCC are mandatory.
• Current Construction White Card.
• Experience in commercial and/or residential painting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces: scrape, sand, patch, and fill holes.
• Apply primers, sealers, and undercoats for adhesion.
• Mix and match paints to specified finishes.
• Apply paint and coatings with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Deliver high-quality finishes with consistent coverage.
• Follow project specs, drawings and site instructions.
• Maintain tools and work areas and ensure safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, patching, and filling holes or cracks.
• Apply primers, sealers, and undercoats to ensure proper paint adhesion.
• Mix and match paint colours to achieve specified finishes.
• Apply paint and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
• Deliver high-quality finishes with consistent coverage and attention to detail.
• Follow project specifications, drawings, and site instructions.
• Maintain and clean painting tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Trade Qualified Painter (Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent).
• Current and valid Driver's Licence.
• Current EWP (Elevated Work Platform) Ticket.
• Current Blue Card.
• Current Working With Children Check (WWCC).
• Proven experience in commercial and/or residential painting.
• Strong knowledge of painting products, finishes, and application techniques.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
• Current Construction White Card.
• Experience working on schools, government facilities, or community projects.
• Familiarity with a range of surface preparation and coating systems.
