Job summary

Programmed Maintenance Services in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Painter to join our commercial painting team. You will work on a variety of commercial projects across Brisbane, delivering high-quality workmanship and collaborating with supervisors and trades.

Ideal candidates hold a trade qualification in Painting and Decorating, have commercial/residential experience, a White Card, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to safety, reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling and patching.
• Apply paint and protective coatings using brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
• Complete internal and external painting works.
• Work safely from ladders, scaffolds and elevated work platforms.
• Protect surrounding surfaces and maintain a clean work area.
• Follow project specifications, SWMS and company safety procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisors, painters and other trades.
• Deliver a professional standard of workmanship and customer service.

About the Role

You will work across a variety of commercial painting and maintenance projects throughout Brisbane. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling and patching

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A trade qualification in Painting and Decorating

• A current driver’s license and reliable transport
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• The ability to work independently and follow instructions
• A reliable, punctual and professional approach

EWP, Working at Heights and other relevant industry licenses or tickets will be highly regarded.
