Job description

We are seeking a motivated Branch Manager to lead our Rockhampton store. This full‑time role offers the chance to manage a dynamic team, drive sales performance, and oversee the daily operations of a busy and well‑established branch.

As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, performance, and profitability of the Rockhampton store. This includes leading a high‑performing team, driving sales growth, managing operational processes, and ensuring exceptional customer service for both trade and retail customers.

Ideally, the successful applicant will have experience in a sales environment with knowledge of retail or wholesale paint products; however, candidates with strong transferable leadership and sales experience are encouraged to apply.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Lead, coach, and motivate the branch team to achieve sales and service targets.
• Drive sales growth and build strong relationships with trade and retail customers.
• Build positive working relationships with trading partners to support brand and Group reputation.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff to build team capability.
• Develop and execute strategies to meet sales targets and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Oversee stock control, ordering, receipting, and inventory accuracy; manage warehouse & deliveries
• Monitor branch banking, manage costs, and report on financial performance.
• Develop relationships with trade partners and identify new business opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Oversee point‑of‑sale operations, invoicing, reporting, and general administrative tasks.

How you’ll be assessed

The successful applicant will demonstrate a mix of technical and personal strengths, including:

• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Proven sales and business development abilities
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong organisational and time management capabilities
• Knowledge of paint products, coatings, and application methods (highly desirable)
• Previous retail or trade branch management experience (preferred)
• Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management software
