Job summary

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is offering a full-time four-year Electrical Apprenticeship with paid study time to complete your Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician at Port Macquarie TAFE. You’ll gain hands-on experience on essential community infrastructure and work with teams across trades.

You’ll be exposed to on-the-job training, with a clear path to career progression and competitive remuneration as you develop your skills.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn on the job
• Team player with good communication
• Safety-conscious and committed to working safely
• Able to commit to study requirements and complete training on time
• Hold a current Driver's Licence (Red P’s or more)
• Hold a white Card (or able to obtain before start)

Responsibilities

• Work on electrical infrastructure construction projects
• Assist with three-phase motors and control switchboard installations
• Assist with industrial wiring for water and sewer plants
• Maintain high voltage water pumping stations
• Support installations and maintenance across community facilities
