Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is offering a four-year, full-time Mechanical Fitter Apprentice program. You will gain hands-on experience maintaining essential water and wastewater infrastructure, with paid study time to complete your Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining) at Taree TAFE.

You’ll work on major assets including treatment plants, pumps, dams, pipelines and valves, while learning from experienced tradespeople.

Responsibilities

• Maintain essential water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Gain practical skills while working on major assets, plants, dams, and pipelines.
• Collaborate with electrical, instrumentation, data communications and automation trades.
• Participate in on-the-job training and study toward the Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
