Port Macquarie Hastings Council is offering a full-time four-year Electrical Apprenticeship. You’ll gain hands-on experience on essential community infrastructure and receive paid study time to complete your Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician at Port Macquarie TAFE.

Qualifications

• Willing to learn on the job.
• Interested in maintaining and improving community facilities.
• Team player with strong communication skills.
• Safety-conscious and able to work safely for yourself and others.
• Able to commit to study requirements and complete training on time.
• Hold a current Driver's License (Red P's or higher).
• Hold a current white card or ability to obtain prior to commencement.
• Able to comply with uniform and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electrical infrastructure construction projects.
• Install three-phase motors and control switchboard installations.
• Maintain electrical systems in water and sewer facilities.
• Support maintenance of high voltage pumping stations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, instrumentation, data communications and automation teams.
