Job summary

Central Coast Group Training (CCGT) is offering a 1st Year Apprentice Chef position in Pokolbin NSW. No kitchen experience required; join a well-established hospitality business and start your career in a real commercial kitchen.

You will be employed by CCGT and placed with the Host Employer, completing a nationally recognised Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. This is a full‑time role with weekend and public holiday work when required.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in food and hospitality
• Punctual and eager to learn
• Able to listen and follow instructions
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen
• Willing to work afternoons/evenings, weekends and public holidays
• No prior kitchen experience required

Responsibilities

• Learn kitchen safety and food hygiene beginnings
• Prepare ingredients for service
• Assist with cooking and plating
• Follow recipes, menus and kitchen instructions
• Organise food preparation before service
• Support across multiple service styles (à la carte, steakhouse, functions)
• Maintain clean, safe and orderly kitchen
