Job summary

ADM Milling – Carbohydrate Solutions is seeking a Packaging and Loading Superintendent to lead all packaging and load-out operations at the plant. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while overseeing ~28 direct reports and collaborating with the Plant Manager.

The role requires strong leadership, problem solving, and the ability to train and develop staff. You will implement programs and SOPs and manage capital projects to maximize yields and uptime.

Qualifications

• Must have strong commitment to employee safety.
• Degree in related field or hands-on supervisory/leadership experience.
• Excellent command of leadership, problem solving, self-motivation, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Must have confident and courteous manner.
• Must have established leadership skills.
• Must be able to hear and speak clearly, read, comprehend and communicate orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and plan production for packaging and load-out systems.
• Work with scheduling department to maximize efficiency.
• Proactively lead and support operational excellence initiatives.
• Provide technical knowledge for processes and equipment to obtain performance.
• Utilize production personnel and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to obtain maximum capacity and quality.
• Plan, initiate and operate plant improvement projects on time and budget.
• Continually train and develop operational staff.
• Facilitate and ensure adherence to safety laws and programs.
• Coordinate and participate in audits and track findings.
• Maintain health, safety and environmental records and documentation.
• Perform safety audits and set the example for safety.
• Ensure world class sanitation standards and communicate programs to staff.
• Prepare for audits by regulators/third parties/customers.
