Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) is seeking a Group Manager for Carbohydrate Ingredients in Decatur, IL. This role leads a team applying food science, cereal science and carbohydrate chemistry to sweeteners, starches, milling and baking applications across lab and pilot-scale activities.

The successful candidate will direct project priorities, safety, and capability development, partnering with technical and commercial teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and product innovations.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or MS in food science or related field with 5+ years of managerial experience.
• Experience leading scientists or technical teams across research and product development.
• Strong knowledge of starch, sweeteners, cereal science, milling, flour quality and dough rheology.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of scientists across research, product development and analytical testing.
• Align technical work with business priorities with cross-functional teams.
