Job summary

CDC NSW is seeking an OCC Controller to join our Seven Hills Operational Customer Centre. In this role you will monitor bus service performance in real-time, use PTIPS and radio systems to keep services on track and respond to incidents to minimise delays.

Permanent part-time, 24 hours per week, overnight shifts from 10:00pm to 6:00am, Saturday to Monday nights, based in Seven Hills. You will work with a skilled team committed to safe, reliable public transport.

Qualifications

• Ability to think clearly in changing priorities and challenging situations.
• Willing to work varied shift patterns including overnight and weekends.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor On-Time-Running (OTR) of bus fleet using PTIPS and KPI’s per TfNSW contractual requirements.
• Use TRBOnet radio system to contact the fleet and respond to channel requests.
• Identify and clarify information from drivers and resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate with mechanical staff for breakdowns and bus changes.
• Escalate major incidents and arrange CDC representation on site.
• Facilitate passenger transfers and manage service adjustments with other services.
