Job summary

CDC NSW is seeking an OCC Controller to monitor bus services in real-time from the Foundry Road depot. You will use PTIPS to track On-Time-Running, respond to incidents, and coordinate recovery actions to minimise delays.

You will work with a highly skilled team to manage driver communications via TRBOnet, liaise with mechanical staff on breakdowns, and support passengers during service disruptions. A calm, professional approach and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Monitor On-Time-Running (OTR) of the bus fleet in real time using PTIPS.
• Maintain KPI performance as per TfNSW contractual requirements.
• Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactively communicate with drivers and colleagues in changing priorities.
• Demonstrate strong computer skills and willingness to learn new tech.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including alternate weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor OTR and KPI performance for the bus fleet in real time using PTIPS.
• Use TRBOnet to contact the fleet and manage radio communications.
• Identify and clarify information from drivers and resolve issues promptly.
• Coordinate with mechanical staff for breakdowns and repairs on the road.
• Escalate major incidents and arrange depot representation on scene.
• Despatch services and coordinate passenger transfer during disruptions.
• Broadcast safety information and instructions to drivers.
• Liaise with depots and external parties affecting the fleet.
