Job summary

Sofitel Adelaide is seeking a dedicated night audit/front desk professional to deliver exceptional service and accurate reporting. You will balance POS transactions, assist with check-ins/outs, and support overnight operations to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Candidates should have night audit or front desk experience, strong English communication, and familiarity with Windows and Opera PMS; Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• Night audit or front desk experience required.
• Fluent English communication skills essential.
• Experience with POS systems and Opera PMS advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist Night Manager with reports and auditing procedures.
• Balance POS and credit card transactions to journals.
• Greet guests, check-in/out, respond to requests, settle accounts.
• Support other departments with overnight duties to ensure guest satisfaction.

• Assisting the Night Manager to check and prepare reports & statistical information in accordance with service standards and auditing procedures
• Balance Food & Beverage point of sale transactions and credit card transactions to journal reports
• Greet, check-in, respond to requests and settle accounts while providing exceptional service
• Assist other departments with overnight duties as required to ensure a positive guest experience

What you will bring to the role:

• A service-focused personality is essential, with the ability to connect with guests through story telling and anticipation of needs
• Prior night audit / front office experience
• Experience working with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite and Opera (or a related PMS system)
• POS experience is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet
• Unprovisional full driver’s license an advantage. Confident driving both automatic and manual cars
• Fluency in English language, both written and verbal; additional languages are an asset
• Must have Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
• Full Australian working rights
• Full availability to nights, weekends, public holidays essential
