Job summary

Anglo American’s Aquila Mine is seeking an Overhauls Coordinator to plan and execute equipment overhauls across our underground mining fleet. You will manage end-to-end projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality targets are met, working with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering and contractors.

Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world.In Australia, weoperatefive steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and haveadditionaljoint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway inNorth WestQueensland and Western Australia.

Job Description

We areseekinga highly organised and driven Overhauls Coordinator tosupportthe planning and execution ofDevelopmentequipmentoverhaulsat our Aquila Mine.

As our Overhauls Coordinator,you’llbe responsibleformanaging end-to-end overhaul projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Working closely with Maintenance, Operations,Engineeringand contractors, you will coordinate complexshutdownsand equipment rebuilds that maximise asset reliability and operational performance.

The successful candidate will combine strong project management capability with technical maintenance knowledge to deliver successful outcomes across a diverse fleet of underground mining equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the full lifecycle of equipment overhaul projects from scoping through to execution and completion.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate major equipment overhauls,componentchange-outs, and refurbishment programs.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reporting to site leadership.
• Engage and manage internal stakeholders, OEMs, suppliers, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Monitor project performance against safety, schedule, cost, and qualityobjectives.
• Identifyproject risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimise operational impact.
• Coordinate procurement activities and ensure materials, components, and services are available to meet project timelines.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overhaul processes, planning effectiveness, and equipment reliability.
• Ensure all activitiescomply withsite safety management systems, statutory obligations, and company standards.
• Conduct post-overhaul reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Formal project management qualifications (Diploma of Project Management, or equivalent).
• Experience in underground coal mining operations.
• Experience with SAPorasimilar maintenance and project management systems.
