Job summary

TeamKids is hiring Casual Educators for OSHC roles across NSW West. The role offers flexible shifts (before/after school, school holidays), on‑the‑job coaching, and in‑house training.

You’ll work with children aged 5–12 in a dynamic OSHC program, with opportunities to develop professionally while enjoying a supportive team environment. Strong communication with children, parents and colleagues is essential; prior OSHC or education experience is beneficial but not required.

Qualifications

• Ideally has previous experience in Before and After School Care or education, but not essential and we can help you grow your skills.
• Confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues.
• Passionate about working with children and helping them thrive.

Responsibilities

• Support children before and after school with engaging activities.
• Participate as part of a team to provide safe, inclusive care.
• Assist with excursions, incursions, and themed days within OSHC.

The Role - Casual Educator

This is a rolewhere no two days are the same! Work closely with a supportive team to gain valuable experience in the OSHC space and make a real difference in children's lives.

Location: Gledswood, Gregory Hills, Ambarvale, Springfarm, Elderslie & surrounding suburbs

Shifts available:

• 7:00am–9:00am (Before School Care)
• 2:30pm–6:30pm (After School Care)
• Optional 6–8 hour shifts during school holidays

About You

• Ideally has previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can help you grow your skills!
• Passionate working with children and seeing them thrive
• Is involved, fun, a team player and ready to jump in
• Confident communicator with children, parents and colleagues

You’ll need (or be willing to get):

• Working with Children Check that is relevant to your state (WWCC,WWVP, Blue card, VIT)
• Preferably has a Cert III or Diploma in an ACECQA approved course (or be working towards it) - Visit acecqa.gov.au to learn more about approved qualifications
• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids.
