Job summary

Redeemer Lutheran College in Rochedale, Brisbane's southside, is seeking casual OSHC Educators to join the Outside School Hours Care team with immediate start. Flexible shifts include 2–4 per week in term time and 4–5 per week during vacation care.

You will help deliver safe, engaging activities and support children’s wellbeing in a warm, supportive environment. For the role, a Cert III or Diploma (or ACECQA-approved qualification), a current Blue Card, and first aid/ asthma/anaphylaxis

Qualifications

• Certificate III, Diploma or ACECQA-approved qualification (or currently studying).
• Current paid Blue Card.
• First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications (HLTAID012), or willingness to obtain them.
• Creativity, initiative and a great sense of fun.

Responsibilities

• Support the care, supervision and wellbeing of children attending the OSHC program.
• Assist in planning and delivering creative and engaging activities.
• Contribute to program documentation and record keeping.
• Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
• Uphold duty of care requirements, including managing medical needs and authorised collections.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the care, supervision and wellbeing of children attending the OSHC program
• Assisting in the planning and delivery of creative and engaging activities
• Contributing to program documentation and record keeping
• Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment
• Upholding duty of care requirements, including managing medical needs and authorised collections

About You

You are a positive and enthusiastic team player who enjoys working with children and creating memorable experiences that support their growth and development.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Certificate III, Diploma, or other ACECQA-approved qualification (or be currently studying)
• A current paid Blue Card
• First Aid, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Management qualifications (HLTAID012), or a willingness to obtain them
• A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them thrive
• Creativity, initiative and a great sense of fun
