Job summary

The Tasmanian Department of Health is seeking an Outpatient – Team Leader to coordinate a team of clerical staff and trainees, supervise scheduling, rostering and data entry, and ensure service delivery standards and objectives are understood and met.

You will lead daily tasks, promote team cohesion, monitor quality and process improvements, and support a friendly, efficient outpatient administration environment across Tasmanian clinics.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of contemporary office administration with ability to plan, organise and meet deadlines.
• Strong people-management skills to supervise and motivate a dynamic team of reception and data entry staff.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to liaise with clients and health professionals.
• Ability to work independently and in a team to improve service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day rostering and supervision of clerical staff and trainees.
• Prioritise daily duties within Outpatient Appointment Scheduling to meet service objectives.
• Foster team cohesion and promote efficient outcomes for the scheduling team.
• Assist with quality control and improvement through adherence to policies and procedures.
