Job summary

Extend After School Care in Western Australia invites an OSHC Relief Service Coordinator to lead activities across the Calista, Wellard and Port Kennedy cluster. You’ll plan engaging programs, ensure safety, and drive quality across the service.

You’ll manage day-to-day operations with a flexible schedule, Monday to Friday shifts, and a casual contract. Competitive hourly pay AU$49.88–AU$52.15 plus 12% super, with paid PD and retention payments.

Qualifications

• Diploma, Bachelor’s, Masters in Early Childhood or related field is preferred or in progress.
• Must have a valid Working With Children Check and relevant trainings.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, inclusive OSHC environment.
• Plan engaging activities—science, sports, arts that kids enjoy.
• Prepare healthy snacks and manage daily service operations.
• Collaborate with Programs Engagement Manager on assessments and ratings with compliance support.
• Engage with school leadership and families to build trusted OSHC programs.

Job Details & Role

About your service: Enjoy the variety and flexibility of working across our fantastic Calista & Port Kennedy cluster! You’ll have the opportunity to support services in Calista, Wellard & Port Kennedy, making a real impact while broadening your OSHC leadership experience.

Hourly Rate: $49.88 - $52.15 Per Hour (Including Worker Retention Payment Scheme) + 12% Super.

• Before School Care: 6:45 AM- 8:45 AM
• After School Care: 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM
• Hours: Monday to Friday. 2-3 shifts fortnightly.
• Contract: Casual.
• Professional development sessions are paid training sessions, and Retention payments are above award.

As our OSHC Relief Service Coordinator you will:

• Be the Visionary: You’re the boss of the service! You’ll plan and program epic science experiments, sports tournaments, fun educational activities and creative arts that kids actually want to do!
• Safety First, Fun Always: Lead a safe, inclusive environment while every child feels like a rockstar.
• Chef it up: Whip up healthy, tasty snacks that keep the energy levels high.
• Champion Quality: Work with your Programs Engagement Manager on Assessment & Ratings with the full backing of our compliance experts at our unit TEG Compass.
• The Community Connector: Ensure every stakeholder is heard and valued while building successful, integrated OSHC programs.
• The Clockwork Catalyst: Manage the day-to-day "business" of the service, ensuring everything runs like clockwork.

• The Qualification: You’ve got (or are studying toward) a Diploma, Bachelor’s, Masters in Early Childhood, Primary Teaching, or School Aged Care, Youth Work, Community Services, and more. Check with us if your qualification is approved!
