Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) is seeking a high-performing Coordinator to lead an After School Care service at St Gabriel Catholic Primary School, Bexley. This permanent, full-time, term-time role focuses on safe, inclusive environments, staff leadership, and enriching programs for children and families.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, collaboration with the school, and adherence to Catholic values within a thriving Not-for-Profit setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Proven OSHC experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Reliable, organised and enthusiastic.
• Certification in Child Protection Training; First Aid/CPR; working with children checks.
• GECCKO safety training completed.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, inclusive space and champion a welcoming culture for children and staff.
• Manage accurate attendance records and bookings to ensure supervision and safety.
• Supervise and mentor educators to build confidence and capability in daily practice.
• Design and deliver engaging, educational programs based on observations and reflection.
• Live and promote the mission and ethos of the Catholic Church in daily leadership.
• Build strong relationships with families, the school, and community stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities

As the Coordinator, you will play a vital leadership role in shaping a positive, enriching environment for children, educators, and families. Your responsibilities will include:

About You

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Proven experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC).
• Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills
• Is reliable, organised, and enthusiastic
• Certification in Child Protection Training.
• Current First Aid Certificates, including CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma management.
• A valid NSW Working With Children Check.
• Completed the mandatory national child safety training via GECCKO. Register GECCKO
