Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) is seeking a dedicated Coordinator for our After School Care service located at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Primary School, North Strathfield. This permanent, full-time role leads a caring team within a supportive Catholic community.

You will create an inclusive space for children, supervise staff, design educational activities, and foster strong ties with families and school partners, while upholding Catholic values in daily leadership.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care is required.
• Proven OSHC experience is essential.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Current First Aid including CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, inclusive space for children and staff.
• Manage attendance records and bookings to ensure supervision and safety.
• Supervise and mentor educators to build confidence and capability.
• Design and deliver engaging, educational programs informed by observations and reflection.
• Promote the Catholic Church's mission and ethos in day-to-day leadership.

As the Coordinator, you will play a vital leadership role in shaping a positive, enriching environment for children, educators, and families. Your responsibilities will include:

About You

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Proven experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC).
• Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills
• Is reliable, organised, and enthusiastic
• Certification in Child Protection Training.
• Current First Aid Certificates, including CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma management.
• A valid NSW Working With Children Check.
• Completed the mandatory national child safety training via GECCKO. Register GECCKO
