Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) invites applications for a Coordinator to lead a Before & After School Care service located at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Primary School, North Strathfield. The role is permanent, full-time, Monday to Friday, and involves supervising staff, engaging children, and partnering with families and the school community.

As a leader you will foster a supportive culture, deliver enriching programs, and uphold the Catholic ethos.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• OSHC experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Reliable, organised and enthusiastic.
• Certification in Child Protection Training.
• Current First Aid Certificates including CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma management.
• NSW Working With Children Check.
• GECCKO child safety training completed.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, inclusive space for children and families.
• Oversee attendance records and bookings for safety and supervision.
• Mentor and supervise educators to build confidence and capability.
• Design and deliver engaging, educational programs based on observations.
• Support the Catholic Church's mission and ethos in daily leadership.

Your Key Responsibilities

As the Coordinator, you will play a vital leadership role in shaping a positive, enriching environment for children, educators, and families. Your responsibilities will include:

• Create a safe, inclusive space - Champion a culture where every child and staff member feels welcome, supported, and respected
• Stay organised and vigilant - Manage accurate attendance records and bookings to ensure consistent supervision and safety
• Empower your team - Supervise and mentor educators, helping them grow in confidence and capability in their daily practice
• Inspire young minds - Design and deliver engaging, educational programs, underpinned by thoughtful observations and reflection
• Live the values - Support and promote the mission and ethos of the Catholic Church, embedding them in your day-to-day leadership

About You

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Proven experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC).
• Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills
• Is reliable, organised, and enthusiastic
• Certification in Child Protection Training.
• Current First Aid Certificates, including CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma management.
• A valid NSW Working With Children Check.
• Completed the mandatory national child safety training via GECCKO. Register GECCKO
