Job summary

Sydney Catholic Early Childhood Services (SCECS) invites applications for a permanent, full-time Coordinator role at our after-school care service located on the grounds of St Finbar's Catholic Primary School, Sans Souci. Split shifts Mon - Fri, term-time only, with a supportive leadership team and opportunities to grow within a not-for-profit Catholic organisation.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification.
• Proven OSHC experience within a childcare setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with a proactive, caring approach.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, inclusive space where every child and staff member feels welcome, supported and respected.
• Stay organised by managing accurate attendance records and bookings for consistent supervision and safety.
• Supervise and mentor educators, helping them grow in confidence and capability in daily practice.
• Design and deliver engaging, educational programs informed by thoughtful observations and reflection.
• Live and promote the Catholic ethos and values within day-to-day leadership.
• Build strong community ties by fostering positive relationships with families, the school, and key stakeholders.

Join our team as a high-performing Coordinator and take the lead at an established and flourishing After School Care service located on the grounds of St Finbar's Catholic Primary School, Sans Souci. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a vibrant and supportive community.

This is a Permanent, Full-Time position, Term Time only. Split shifts Mon - Fri.

Your Key Responsibilities

As the Coordinator, you will play a vital leadership role in shaping a positive, enriching environment for children, educators, and families. Your responsibilities will include:

• Stay organised and vigilant - Manage accurate attendance records and bookings to ensure consistent supervision and safety
• Empower your team - Supervise and mentor educators, helping them grow in confidence and capability in their daily practice
• Inspire young minds - Design and deliver engaging, educational programs, underpinned by thoughtful observations and reflection
• Live the values - Support and promote the mission and ethos of the Catholic Church, embedding them in your day-to-day leadership
• Build strong community ties - Nurture positive relationships with families, the school, and key community stakeholders

About You

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• Proven experience in Out of School Hours Care (OSHC).
• Demonstrates strong leadership and communication skills
• Is reliable, organised, and enthusiastic
• Certification in Child Protection Training.
• Current First Aid Certificates, including CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma management.
• A valid NSW Working With Children Check.
• Completed the mandatory national child safety training via GECCKO. Register GECCKO
