Job summary

TeamKids is seeking a Second in Charge (2IC) at the Mount Duneed OSHC service. You will co-lead before and after school care, ensuring a warm, welcoming environment for children and families, and support the Director of Service in daily operations.

This permanent, part-time role involves engaging with students, parents, and school staff, delivering enriching experiences, and upholding safety and regulatory standards. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in Before and After School Care or education is preferred but training is available.
• Diploma qualification (or working towards) as per ACECQA standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support in delivering high-quality care for primary school children.
• Engage with school community, attend events and assemblies.
• Contribute to enrichment experiences based on children’s preferences.
• Foster genuine relationships with children and families and ensure safety.

Job Description: This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location: Mount Duneed Lovely OSHC service within a multicultural community, this service is looking for an experienced educator to work alongside the Director in a creating a warm and welcoming environment for the children.

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday: Before School Care 6:45 - 9:00am After School Care 2:45 - 6:00pm Total Hours: 27.5

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about childcare and leadership, ready to make a meaningful impact on the children, parents, and team.

Innovation: Assist with the creation and implementation of enriching experiences based on the preferences of the children in your program Genuine: Foster genuine relationships with children and their families. Fun: Play and have FUN with primary school aged children Remarkable: Support with ensuring your program in compliance according to industry regulations.

The Successful Candidate

• Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
• Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
• You’re a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
• Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!

• As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
