Job summary

Helpng Hands South Rock is offering flexible OSHC roles around university timetables and family commitments. Shifts are 6:00am–9:00am and 2:00pm–6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with extra pay for split shifts and a supportive team environment.

Develop leadership skills toward Assistant Coordinator or Coordinator, with paid training and career growth, plus benefits like childcare fee relief, referral rewards, and health and wellbeing perks.

Qualifications

• Available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week.
• Valid Australian work rights.
• Willing to obtain a national police check and state Working with Children check.

About Helping Hands South Rock

Helping Hands South Rock is a growing and welcoming service caring for approximately 40–50 children in Before School Care and 60–70 in After School Care, with capacity to grow to 105 children. The service operates from a spacious licensed hall with three dedicated rooms, a large kitchen and eating foyer, plus access to a grassed outdoor area, playgrounds, courts and oval.

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

While we’re happy to provide training and guidance in the role and sector, here are a few qualities we’re looking for:

• Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2 Year Qualified Educator in QLD in accordance with ACECQA
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
• Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week
• A genuine love for working with children.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
• Must have valid Australian work rights.
