Job summary

Junior Adventures Group is seeking enthusiastic OSHC staff to join the Helping Hands Bounty Boulevard service in North Lakes. You will help create engaging activities for primary school children and support daily program delivery around university timetables and other commitments.

This role offers split shifts (6:00-9:00 and 14:00-18:00, Monday to Friday), the chance to gain hands-on experience with children, paid training, and pathways to leadership as an Assistant Coordinator or Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed ACECQA qualification.
• National Police Safety Training completion prior to onboarding.
• Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week.
• A genuine love for working with children.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
• Must have valid Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Assist OSHC team with daily programs and activities.
• Engage primary school children in fun, educational games and play.
• Support shift coordination and ensure safety and wellbeing of children.

Pick up shifts across the services open hours:

• Morning Shift: 6:00am – 9:00am Monday - Friday (Rise then Shine Program)
• Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 6:00pm Monday - Friday (Stay and Play Program)

Qualifications

Who are we looking for?

While we’re happy to provide training and guidance in the role and sector, here are a few qualities we’re looking for:

• Desirable but not mandatory: Working towards or completed a relevant qualification to work as a 1 or 2Year QualifiedEducatorin QLDin accordance with ACECQA
• National Child Safety Training completion prior to onboarding (via Gecko).
• Must be available for at least 3 afternoon shifts per week
• A genuine love for working with children.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A team player with aspirations to take on leadership opportunities.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a national police check (which we will cover!) and a state working-with-children check.
• Must have valid Australian work rights.
