Job summary

Centacare Early Learning & Care (CELC) is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Coordinator for St Augustine's, Mossman. This part-time role (25 hours/week) offers the chance to lead and mentor a team, design engaging activities, and ensure children’s voices are heard within the OSHC program.

You will collaborate with the Nominated Supervisor to foster continuous improvement, maintain a supportive learning environment, and ensure compliance with the Education and Care National Law and NQS.

Qualifications

• ACECQA approved diploma or higher is required or working towards it.
• Experience in OSHC or early childhood education settings.
• Experience in a leadership role within an OSHC/early learning environment.
• Ability to coach educators and support reflective practice.
• Strong communication with children, families and team members.

Responsibilities

• Support Educational Leader with program design aligned to My Time, Our Place.
• Coach educators to engage in reflective practice and professional dialogue.
• Promote inclusive, culturally responsive practice for all children.
• Build relationships with children, families, and staff to support wellbeing.
• Maintain clear communication with parents, caregivers and educators.
