Job summary

Big Childcare is seeking an experienced Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Assistant Centre Manager to lead at Wellard Village Primary School, Wellard. You will support the Centre Manager, mentor educators and help deliver a play-based, child-led program aligned with My Time, Our Place.

You will work with families and the school community, ensure NQF/NQS compliance, maintain records, and uphold health, safety and wellbeing for every child, while modelling professional care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Certificate III (or higher) in Early Childhood Education, School Age Education and Care, or equivalent (as approved by ACECQA).
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in an OSHC or early childhood setting.
• Strong knowledge of NQF, NQS and OSHC compliance requirements.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWC) or equivalent.
• OSHC Assistant Centre Manager experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Staff Support: mentor educators, support Centre Manager, assist with shift planning and staff coordination.
• Compliance & Safety: help maintain NQF/NQS compliance, records, and health and safety standards.
• Program Delivery & Child Engagement: assist with play-based, child-led programming aligned with My Time, Our Place; engage children.
• Family & Community Engagement: build positive relationships with families; liaise with the school community.
