Job summary

Dr Steve Tang Optometrists in Sydney’s Northern Beaches flagship is seeking an Optical Manager and Assistant Manager. You will lead our optical team, mentor staff, and oversee dispensing, sales and premium eyewear experiences for customers.

Qualifications

• Experienced in optical dispensing and staff development.
• Experience in leading a small team in a premium eyewear environment.
• Ability to mentor and train team members in optical dispensing and customer care.

Responsibilities

• Support store director on daily operations and projects.
• Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring patients feel confident in their eyewear choices.
• Grow sales and performance while maintaining our premium brand standards.
• Frame merchandising and buying team contribution.
• Mentor and train team members, providing guidance in optical dispensing and customer care.
• Ownership of customer journey from walk in to collection and trouble shooting.
• Oversee and track frame, lens & e-commerce orders.
• Continued leadership and multichannel training program.
• Team communications & patient recall.

In this role, you'll use your professional skill set and product expertise to create incredible experiences for customers. Whether you're helping longtime Dr Steve Tang Optometristfans or first-time wearers, you'll leave them excited and confident about our eyecare and glasses. You’ll put your skills to understand the Director’s vision and priorities, take ownership of operations and deliver results, train and lead your team andconsult customers.
