Nexus Hospitals Group in Melbourne is seeking an ANUM Ophthalmology scrub/scout to lead clinical care and patient safety across the theatre. You will mentor staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and drive continuous improvement in our day surgery environment.

Qualifications

• Ophthalmology scrub/scout experience in a surgical hospital.
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Postgraduate qualifications or commitment to them.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based care: monitor wellbeing and provide high-quality treatment.
• Prepare for safe surgery: ensure theatre and equipment readiness and support procurement.
• Prioritise patient safety: maintain clear communication and respond to changes.
• Mentor and educate colleagues: share knowledge to strengthen teamwork.
• Drive quality and safety improvements: support hospital leaders in ongoing initiatives.
