Job summary

EQ Resources Limited seeks experienced Operators - Multi-Skilled (Excavators and Dozers) and Dump Truck to join the Mt Carbine team in Far North Queensland. The role involves heavy equipment operation on a mining site with safety and reliability at the forefront.

Roster is 7 on, 7 off with DIDO options; transport provided to/from Mossman, Port Douglas and Mareeba, and a valid HR license is desirable. Must have legal work rights in Australia and pass pre-employment checks.

The location and Lifestyle:

Mt Carbine has a rich history of tungsten production and is strategically and conveniently located only 75 kms from the beautiful seaside town of Port Douglas in Far North Queensland where the Daintree Forest meets the Great Barrier Reef. The Mt Carbine Tungsten mine is 120km North of Cairns International Airport via sealed highway. Neighbouring the Mt Carbine township on the Mulligan Highway, The Mt Carbine Tungsten Mine is central to Mossman, Port Douglas, Mareeba, Julatten and Mt Molloy. For those with families, there is a choice of private and public schools, as well as universities and technical education facilities in the region.

About the Role:

We are seeking highly motivated and experienced Operators - Multi-Skilled (Excavators and Dozers) and Dump Truck to join our Mt Carbine team, our fleet involves:

Grader: 14M

Articulated dump trucks: Volvo 60 ton & 45 ton, Bells 50ton & Cat 45 ton

The positions require certain physical demands and exposure to challenging environments that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, work at heights and other exertions associated with manual roles as well as a strong commitment to safety while working in an operational mine site environment.
