Job summary

Glencore International AG is seeking competent excavator and multi-skilled operators for Collinsville Open Cut in Queensland, Australia. This permanent full-time role operates on a 7/7 day-night roster, with camp accommodation and meals provided, offering stable long-term life-of-mine prospects.

You will operate heavy earthmoving equipment safely, contribute to production targets, and perform a full range of mining tasks in a dynamic, continuously improving environment.

Qualifications

• Equipment experience with heavy earthmoving gear ( Excavator >200T, Dozer, Grader, Loader, Water Truck or Haul Truck).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of and commitment to risk management and safe work practices.
• Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Collinsville Open Cut is located approximately 160km from Airlie Beach in Queensland, a town known as the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and Great Barrier Reef. Producing both metallurgical and thermal coal for the export market, the surface mine has a long life and is transitioning from a dragline strip to a truck and shovel terrace operation.

We are currently looking for competent and experienced excavator and multi-skilled operators to fill multiple positions across our open cut site.

Reporting to the OCE, you will:

• Provide safe and efficient operation of heavy earthmoving equipment to meet mine production and organisational targets.

• Be comfortable performing the full range of mining tasks in a dynamic and changing environment with a focus on continuous improvement.

About you:

• Equipment experience – Excavator (>200T), Dozer, Grader, Loader, Water Truck and/or Haul Truck Operator.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Understanding of and commitment to risk management and safe work practices.

• Ability to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
