Cleanaway is hiring a skilled Operator at the Dandenong SEMTS transfer station to oversee earthmoving operations and mentor team members. The role involves loading, excavation, and safe handling of waste with front end loaders and skid steers, plus forklift operations.

Strong leadership and communication are essential. We offer an attractive salary package, afternoon shift hours (3.30pm–11.30pm) with potential overtime, and opportunities for career growth within a national waste management

Formación

• Hold current Excavator and Loader tickets.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Strong work ethic with reliable attendance.

Responsabilidades

• Operate earthmoving equipment (Front End Loader, material handler, skid steer, forklift).
• Assist drivers and the public with correct load placement.
• Excavate and load dry waste to compact and cover waste.
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment per procedures.
• Assist with general housekeeping duties.
• Maintain professional image and high-quality customer service.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a highly skilled Operator to join our team at our Dandenong SEMTS transfer station.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced heavy machinery operator with proven leadership skills who enjoys mentoring others and driving operational success in a vital environmental services role.

• Operating earthmoving equipment (Front End loader, material handler, skid steer and forklift licence)
• Assist drivers and the public with correct load placement
• Excavate and load dry waste (metal, wood, general rubbish and other material) to compact and cover waste
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment in line with procedures
• Assist with general housekeeping duties
• Maintain a professional image and always deliver high quality customer service
