Job summary

Join Cleanaway, Australia's leader in sustainable waste management, as a Plant/Operator at our Warrnambool transfer station. You will operate heavy machinery, support daily transfer station operations and help maintain a safe yard environment.

This permanent full-time role requires current Excavator and Loader tickets with a forklift licence preferred. Candidates who show initiative and a customer-focused attitude will be trained and supported by a leading ASX-listed company.

Qualifications

• Heavy machinery experience is required or advantageous.
• Current Excavator and Loader tickets are required.
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential.

• Repair and maintain bins and other items.
• Assist with weighbridge operations as required.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a skilled Operator to join our team at our Warrnambool transfer station.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone heavy machinery experience keen to contribute to essential waste operations that support the local environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Operate heavy machinery including excavators, wheel loaders and skid steers
• Maintain cleanliness in the yard
• Repair and maintain bins and other items
• Assist with weighbridge operations as required
• Support the day-to-day running of the transfer station
• Follow site safety and environmental procedures at all times

About You

• Current Excavator and Loader ticket
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential

Experience is advantageous, but we value attitude above all and are willing to train the right candidate

• Proven ability to work autonomously and take initiative
• Committed to delivering excellent customer service to customers and members of the public
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
