Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking a highly skilled Operator to join our team at the Dandenong SEMTS transfer station in Victoria. The role focuses on operating earthmoving equipment with leadership responsibilities and mentoring teammates to achieve safe, efficient outcomes in a vital environmental services setting.

You will oversee front end loader, material handler, skid steer, and forklift operations, support drivers and the public with load placement, and help maintain a clean, organized site while

• Current Excavator and Loader ticket.
• Leadership skills and ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Operate earthmoving equipment (front end loader, material handler, skid steer, forklift).
• Assist drivers and the public with load placement.
• Excavate and load dry waste to compact and cover waste.
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment per procedures.
• Assist with general housekeeping duties.
• Maintain a professional image and deliver high-quality customer service.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a highly skilled Operator to join our team at our Dandenong SEMTS transfer station.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced heavy machinery operator with proven leadership skills who enjoys mentoring others and driving operational success in a vital environmental services role.

• Operating earthmoving equipment (Front End loader, material handler, skid steer and forklift licence)
• Assist drivers and the public with correct load placement
• Excavate and load dry waste (metal, wood, general rubbish and other material) to compact and cover waste
• Safely operate vehicles and equipment in line with procedures
• Assist with general housekeeping duties
• Maintain a professional image and always deliver high quality customer service
