Job summary

Veolia ANZ is seeking a Sludge Treatment Plant Operator to join the Moomba Sludge Treatment Plant team. You will be responsible for the safe operation, sampling, daily tasks and site maintenance at a major wastewater facility.

Ideal candidates hold a current car licence, have experience in plant operations or are studying related fields, and can work independently with mechanical and electrical awareness. FIFO from Brisbane or Adelaide is offered.

Qualifications

• Current car licence.
• Experience in plant operations preferred (or currently studying related field with site experience).
• Knowledge and understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the sludge treatment plant, complying with OHS requirements.
• Understand all process, maintenance and operational issues occurring on a day to day basis.
• Perform routine work orders, preventive maintenance and breakdown tasks as directed.
• Monitor plant operations and assist in plant optimisation.
• Undertake sample collection and laboratory analysis.
• Undertake process troubleshooting and problem solving whilst identifying process improvements.
• Carry out routine maintenance duties including managing resources, tools, and equipment.
