Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Mine Management Services lead to run day-to-day operations on site and act as the key customer liaison. You will oversee personnel, safety systems and waste management, while coordinating drivers and yard functions to ensure efficient site performance.

The role requires mine-specific induction, S1/S2/S3 and G2 certificates, Standard 11, and Coal-board medical. Emphasizing safety, accountability and collaborative leadership, you will support Veolia’s on-site operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading and mentoring a workforce on site.
  • Strong time management and planning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • HR licence is preferred on site.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with SHMES systems and lead safety on site.
  • Manage personnel, tasks and waste management areas.
  • Daily allocation of drivers, trucks and yard functions.
  • Prepare run-sheets, debrief drivers and manage fatigue.
  • Conduct inductions, training and toolbox talks.
  • Compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Raise purchase orders for supplies and maintenance.
  • Timely reporting of incidents and investigations.
  • Promote a culture of safety, customer service and stakeholder relations.

The Opportunity

This role is responsible for the day to day running of Mine Management Services whilst being the key customer liaison representative on site.

What you'll be responsible for
  • Making sure Compliance with sites SHMES systems and leadership with safety.
