Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Operator Maintainer to join our Water team at the Luggage Point Advanced Water Treatment Plant in Pinkenba. This hands-on role combines plant operations, monitoring, sampling and first-line maintenance.

You'll work with an experienced team, contributing to the Western Corridor Recycled Water Project, with an emphasis on monitoring, troubleshooting and keeping equipment running safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• Experience operating or maintaining water treatment or similar process plant equipment.
• Hands on experience with pumps, motors, pipelines or mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of PLC or SCADA systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor plant operations and respond to SCADA alarms
• Troubleshoot plant, equipment and process issues
• Carry out routine and breakdown maintenance
• Maintain pumps, motors, pipelines and other process equipment
• Collect samples and complete basic laboratory analysis
• Support plant commissioning and optimisation activities
• Complete operational records and update maintenance systems
• Participate in the operations on-call roster
