Job summary

Evolution Mining Cowal Gold Operations is seeking an experienced Excavator Operator for our Open Cut Mining team. You will operate large production excavators to deliver daily mining targets while upholding safety and equipment standards.

You will report to the Shift Supervisor and may relocate to West Wyalong to join a diverse, on-site operation with strong safety culture and regional lifestyle benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience operating excavators on a mine site.
• Experience with large production excavators in open-cut mining.
• Strong safety awareness and hazard identification.

Responsibilities

• Operate large excavators in line with mine plans and tolerances.
• Maintain dig faces, floors, batters and haul roads for efficiency.
• Complete pre-starts, identify defects and operate within limits.
• Use MineStar GPS to ensure accuracy and report issues.
• Contribute to safe, productive shifts through teamwork.
• Participate in pre-starts, toolbox talks and continuous improvement.

What's the opportunity?

Evolution are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to join our Open Cut Mining team. If you know your way around large production excavators and take pride in safe, efficient operations, this is an opportunity to put your skills to work on a well?run mine site.Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you'll be responsible for operating production excavators to deliver daily mining targets while maintaining strict safety, environmental and equipment standards.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Operating large excavators in line with mine plans and design tolerances
• Maintaining dig faces, floor RLs, batters and haul roads to maximise efficiency
• Completing pre?starts, identifying defects and operating equipment within limits
• Using MineStar GPS to ensure accuracy and reporting system issues
• Contributing to safe, productive shifts through clear communication and teamwork
• Actively participating in pre?starts, toolboxes and continuous improvement

You're a capable, safety?focused operator with 1+ years' experience operating excavators on a mine site. You understand production pressures, look after your gear, and do things the right way, every shift.

You'll bring:

• Proven experience on large production excavators in open cut mining
• Open to relocating to West Wyalong
• A current Australian driver's licence
• Strong safety awareness and hazard identification skills
• Good mechanical sympathy and attention to detail
• The ability to work a rotating roster and perform in a team environment
