Evolution Mining’s Cowal Operations in NSW seeks a Health & Safety Advisor to partner with leaders and frontline teams, shaping a proactive safety culture across open pit, underground and processing operations. The role focuses on influencing safe behaviours, reducing risks, and driving continuous improvement in health and safety performance.

The position reports to the Senior Advisor – Health and Safety and involves leading investigations, delivering safety initiatives, and supporting a diverse

Qualifications

• Diploma in Work Health and Safety or higher required.
• Minimum 3 years Health and Safety experience in mining.
• Experience supporting open pit, underground, processing or mining environments.
• Strong risk management, auditing and ICAM investigations capabilities.
• Ability to influence relationships across all levels of a mining operation.
• Excellent communication and safety culture development skills.

Responsibilities

• Influence a proactive safety culture across site through visible leadership and practical support.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify, manage and reduce critical safety risks.
• Lead incident investigations, audits and risk assessments to drive improvement and compliance.

Play a key role in shaping the safety culture of one of Australia's leading gold mining operations. As our Health & Safety Advisor, you'll bring your mining industry experience to partner with leaders and frontline teams across open pit, underground and processing operations, influencing safe behaviours and driving continuous improvement in health and safety performance.

Based at our Cowal Operations and reporting to the Senior Advisor – Health and Safety you'll:

• Influence a proactive safety culture through visible leadership and practical support across site.

Does this sound like you?

• Diploma in Work Health and Safety or higher qualification.
• Minimum 3 years Health and Safety experience within the mining industry.
• Demonstrated experience supporting open pit, underground, processing or mining related operational environments.
• Strong capability in risk management, auditing and ICAM incident investigations.
• Experience developing and implementing practical health and safety systems, procedures and standards in a mining environment.
• The ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of a mining operation.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to creating safer workplaces.

Highly regarded:

• Return to Work certification.
• Experience with INX and other safety management systems.
• High Risk Work Licences and relevant national competencies.
